As part of a wider improvement of navigation across the platform, we released the first iteration of in-page navigation for the search and browse experience. We improved usability by unifying the scattered navigation elements and surfacing hidden filters, in a flexible format that can accommodate enhancements, like automating visibility and positioning of filters based on specific criteria; or adding more refinement options.

During A/B test period of the existing and new experience:

+106% increase in faceted search interactions
+171% increase in filter menu interactions
+22% increase in cart additions after using a filter, suggests customers using filters find it more helpful in their search journey.
Removed 57% of unintentional filtering by requiring an explicit apply filter action. This behaviour previously occurred in the control experience as filters would be applied by simply navigating from one filter category to another.
