We Are Social

Optus Sport releases dozens of social content pieces every week for its English Premier League coverage in Australia. They needed a style that combined the EPL broadcast and Optus master brand structure in a social friendly format.
To maintain consistency across multiple formats, platforms, designers and allow quick turn around for breaking news and events, a flexible design system was required that could be picked up and produced with very little explanation.
The system is based on a rectangular grid, elements can be stacked in any configuration, meaning previously created parts can be reused. Executions were differentiated by colour, drawing from brand and club palettes, while the images were adjusted with a duotone treatment, cut out and layered for added depth.
