Optus Sport releases dozens of social content pieces each week across Facebook and Twitter for its EPL coverage in Australia. They needed a style that combined the EPL broadcast and Optus master brand structure in a social friendly format.
To maintain consistency across multiple formats, platforms, designers and allow quick turn around on breaking news and events; a flexible design system was required that could be picked up and produced with little to no explanation.
The system is based on a rectangular grid, elements can be stacked in any configuration, meaning previously created parts can be reused. Executions are differentiated by colour, drawing from brand and club palettes; images are adjusted with a duotone treatment, cut out and layered for added depth.
